Jus came back from one of the best nights in Mumbai…

A band named “blind image” from Chennai had a Metallica tribute in the Aura pub in Powai Hiranandani….and believe me it rocked like Hell there…
Interesting thing was the guitarist who played alongwith the band (not a part of band) was from my hometown Nagpur…Daniel (Danny) … I have been listening to this guy from my 1st year as he was a regular participant of the Rock Show we organized in Aarohi… :D and believe me he plays awesome guitar…

The night started with some OCs by the band and then a 13 year old gal played some songs…it was all OK…but then came the time to Rock…They started with “The four horsemen” and then “Master of Puppets” (this is the one of the best best bestest song ever) \m/ and then “Creeping Death” this too fuckin rock…

In between there were some more OCs by the band and few songs by “The Lamb of God” and “Slayer”.

All time it was Whiskey, Beer, Headbang, BodyBang and moshpit…madarchod …maja aa gaya :D

It was a fuckin beautiful night :D

Reached home sometime back and now time to sleep as last night slept at 6 am, only for 5 hours…body and neck is already aching … hehehe but its all fine for You Gods…

THE END…By...The Doors

Its 12 30 am now…Friday night…but nothing special as such…

Just…came back from office at about 10 and then made some phone calls and then had my dinner…and came online…no one special was online so was just getting bored and hence started listening some old rock songs…

Realized why it is said…OLD IS GOLD !!

Few minutes back heard the song THE END by one of the greatest rock band ever “THE DOORS”…simply beautiful…read lyrics online and the moozik composed…it just takes you somewhere else…

This is not the 1^st time I am listening DOORS songs but I don’t know tonight it was something different…I have heard many of their songs but this one is really a different composition from the others…

Light My Fire…Love Me Two Times…Love Her Madly…Hello I Love You…LA Woman…these are few of the best DOORS songs…from their titles itself you can make out that they are romantic…but rock songs are very different than typical romantic pop songs…anyways…my point here is the song THE END is simply amazing…it’s a beautiful combination of lyrics…music…and specially the voice…the voice of GOD…Jim Morrison…the way he has sung the song…his style…everything adds up to the magical effect on the listener…

THE END is one of the best rock song ever composed according to me…

Guys you gotta listen it…or you are missing something :-)

Independence Rock XXIII and XXII

Independence Rock a.k.a iROCK is the biggest platform for the Indian Bands to perform upon…as it’s the biggest Rock Festival in my country.

The fest has been started by FARHAD K. WADIA.

31st August 2008, Sunday…I went with Akshay, Rohan and Anubhav for iRock 23 at Chitrakoot Ground in Andheri.
To tell you the events honestly, we reached the place almost one hour late but we were not the only ones as there were people even after us to buy the tickets…whatever…so then we entered the ground.
Some Kolkata Band was playing and the songs were all ok ok types and hence we didn’t enjoy as we expected.
Then came the last band Agni (we came to know that only 3 bands were going to play out of which we missed the half part exact) anyways…then Agni came on stage…a band from Pune…who mainly have their own compositions in Hindi…so we were expecting that it’s gonna be obviously boring.
But we were proved wrong…the band started with their self composition on Lord Shiva and the moozik for it was really impressive…the band continued with one or two more self compositions and then they started playing covers and they were superb songs like Whole Lotta Love (Led Zep), Immigrant Song (Led Zep), Love me Two Times (The Doors), Nothing Else Matters (Metallica) and few more and thus we were actually happy to be there and I did a lot of headbang and shouted a lot (obviously) :-)

Finally we left by 10.15 and then had dinner together at Lucky (where we laughed a lot on few jokes by Rohan and Me…which were really very funny) and then we went to Akshay’s place and slept off.

Overall the day went great.

But for us…iROCK 23 was not as great as iROCK 22.
Last year we went to the same place but we were few more guys…Rahul, Gaurang and few Rohan’s cousins…and the songs played were really good…mainly death metal songs and we enjoyed the mosh pit too…alongwith the wall of death…

Also the bands who performed in iRock 22 were awesome as compared to those who played this year…anyways whatever it is…iRock ROCKS !! \m/

One more thing other than moozik in iRock to be noticed is the crowd present.
The crowd is mainly the youth class…everyone wearing their favorite bands’ t-shirt.
You can hardly find anyone wearing a Non-Black t-shirt in the entire crowd…all people are rock fans banging and rocking with the deafening music…Smoking guys and gals and few fanatics drunk too :-) that’s the real fun.
Other than the Band t-shirts, you can also find people wearing Che Guevara t-shirts as he is a popular icon of youthful rebellion. (I will definitely write another post on this man later :-))

So that’s all about iROCK…if you be here in India and wanna have a good time don’t miss this event…its organized in all major cities of the country.

a big day...for all rock fans...
a big day for me too...cuz i m one of them...

wanted to write blog then itself...but dint...i m so lazy...

it ws friday evening...
it ws a moment i ws waiting for from so long...

v planned it from the very 1st nite, v came to kno the news...IRON MAIDEN startin thr world tour from mumbai....man...i cudnt believe..but it ws trueeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....

i ws so happy...
got da tickets n v wr eagerly waiting for the show...

n then the day came...the big day....dream came true...

v all went to BKC MMRDA ...
i had my office...but left early...i cud have bunked..wats d BFD? ;-)
v all met...except 2...all wr in iron maiden tees...rest 2 in black though....7 of ur wr thr...



DG cams wr nt allowed with batteries...cigarettes nt allowed...but this time i dint want to ask a drag from sm1 smokin besides me...i made my mind...i m gonna do it...

kept the battery of DG cam in my socks....put the cigy box in my undi...hehe...fuckers cudnt catch us....we made it in...no surprise...many did...

then warm up...PARIKRAMA came on stage...sung...am i dreamin...vapourise...n ofcourse....BUT IT RAINED !!... they rock man...2 weeks ago only we saw them in andheri..along wid saif...n strings...it ws a nice show too..but not as gud as dis one...

it ws 7pm when parikrama left the stage....nd then crowd went crazy....

we wr in left side of the ground...nd struggling to get as near as possible to the stage...nd in center...

it ws exact 7.55 pm when Winston Churchill's speech started...every fuckin person knew...its nthng but ACES HIGH....

the crowd went crazy so did i...nd my fnds...nd the speech ended...
nd the stage ws illuminated...

nd thr they came on stage....fuckin IRON MAIDEN...man....these guys...we hv been jus seeing on our PCs...nvr knew one day we wil see them performing....

it ws hard to believe...ever1 ws so excited...i gues i ws more dan excited...

the time ACES HIGH ended...i turned to find...none of my fnd is wid me...i ws lost...acually i ws lost in moozik..every1 was...

cam was wid sm1 else...sutta ws wid me...hehe...dat ws imp...rahul ws cursing me,...i knew...

in just 15 minutes...every tee shirt u touchd...was wet wid sweat....nd ya it ws winter here.... :)

what added up ws the themes being used...

this was the 1st time iron maiden used the concept of themes while performing...in none of thr videos till date....u wil find the themes on the backdrop...that ws something really exictin....
the main theme was POWERSLAVE...but thr were many oders too...

it ws beautiful..

i just cant forget the crowd singing....
FEAR OF THE DARK....OOOO...OOOO...OOOO....OOOO....

nd then...IRON MAIDEN...dis song had a fuckin surprise element...EDDIE on stage...a 10 feet EDDIE came walkin on stage...fucckkkk....wat ws dat...evry1 was stunned...he ws huge...nd he was real...no1 expected nethng like this....it ws fun...

the band is so energetic....specially BRUCE DICKINSON...man...these guys are above 50...dey dont look so...dat ws a fuckin awesome performance...u made my day....

i can never ever forget this nite...it ws a DREAM COME TRUE feeling...nd it really did...

the show ended by 9.30...but its nvr gonna end in my head....the memories wont ever fade away....

I left alone my mind was blank

I needed time to think to get the memories from my mind
What did I see can I believe that what I saw

that night was real and not just fantasy

My opinion about rock moozik…

Hi evrbody…howz u?
Hope u r rockin…

Today I wish to write what I feel about rock moozik.
There are many fnds of mine..many oder ppl I came across..to whom when I tell my choice of moozik..make a bad face…
“A big NO….no way..i m not at all into rock…”
They mainly tell me..they get a headache cuz of rock moozik…
Its not soothing…its so loud…its never peaceful…the list of negative points of rock moozik goes on nd on nd on…

But still thr r maniacs like me whu r goddamn crazy bout rock moozik…
I wud say I m n acromaniac for rock…
It has been well said…dat “moozik is life…it has no language…”

Like ways its truly said “Rock has no reason…no religion…!!”

The prime most reason I love rock moozik is…LYRICS…
I wud agree dat when I started listening..when I was just a novice in the field…I wud not get lyrics much…
But later it became a habit…dat if I like the song I wud search for the lyrics…
Manier times I get atleast some lines in the song but then without knowing everything dats said…the fun is incomplete…it remains meaningless…

And the second reason which is imp too...is the moozik...that is played...
I love shouting…screaming…growling…lead guitars…gut busting drum solos…distortions…bass…and turn tables which are a part of alternative rock moozik (played by LP and many oder bands now a days )

Ya as most of us mainly knows Rock moozik is not much about the brighter part or side of life…it speaks bout the dark side of life…the pains...depressions…frustrations…grudges…anger…sleepless nights…loneliness…failures…

Its so logical that you cant say a gal “I love you” shouting at her. You will alws say it in a soothing voice...with all the feelings…from the bottom of ur heart…

Simply goes the rule for rock moozik…

You cant tell anyone that “You hate her/him…you fuckin feel sick with the person…”…you cant express the anger…your frustration…without shouting…isn’t it?
Of course this also you say with feelings and from the bottom of ur heart…

And then the moozik dat supports has to be accordingly strong…
And then I mentioned earlier that mainly rock is bout this…

But then thr r many encouraging and optimistic songs…

One I rmbr by LP is “My December”

One that open ur eyes towards way to live life or fact of life…songs like…“Stairway to Heaven”…”Nothing Else Matters”…”Its my Life”

One thing you will notice about most rock bands is that they write about worldly affairs also…something in very general…
Like the songs on wars …the latest being by LP “what I’ve done”
Then thr r many like…”the trooper by IM”
“One by Metallica” for democracy…
“War Pigs by Black Sabbath”…
“BYOB by SOAD”…

There are songs by Nirvana…they used to play grunge…
This is one of the few bands whose slow songs I can listen to…
The reason being the most touching and really meaningful lyrics…
To make you aware you shud kno the song “Smells like teen spirit” was awarded as the “Anthem of the generation”…
Songs like “Come as you are”…”The man who sold the world”…”Rape Me”…are simply mind blowing…

There are quite a few songs like “Sweet child of mine” by GNR which will be about the brighter side of love (yes I believe thrs a darker side too)

So this way..you wil see…dat rock is a real world class moozik..playing about everything related to human beings…
Mainly bout the darker side…but then teaching many oder things…
You cant deny that ever1 over here has a SAD BUT TRUE part in thr life…which they cant ignore…forget…or simply run away from…

So my fnds if u wanna view life in new way...do listen to Rock moozik…atleast give it a try…(I am not against any oder kind of moozik but I m against those..whu r against rock moozik ;-) )

How it all started... (bout Rock Moozik !!)

A blur image I remember, v all guyz were sitting infront of Arpit's comp, when one of our fnd brought a cd "Making of Hybrid Theory by LINKIN PARK". I wasn’t aware that in future the band will become my fav band. I still rmbr the song which i heard first..."Points of authority"..which later became my fav song even...I was totally influenced by the genre of moozik the band plays...This i mention as the first rock band i heard...I was never into rock moozik...But then that day changed my moozik taste.... When i heard the song for the 1st time, I was able to catch the few lines...which I can guarantee every1 amongst us will agree with...it goes like...

"u like to think...u were never wrong"
"u want to act like...u r some1"
"u want sm1 to hurt like u..."
"u want to share what u have been thru.."

"u live what u've learnt..."

And I liked these lines so much that they became the description for my blog even…Gradually I became a die hard fan of the band..and now thr is no song i havent heard by the band...
