Finally…Finally…Finally…in USA
So finally got an onsite opportunity…was waiting for this one from a very long time…struggled a lot, in fact fought a lot…got delayed for quite a long…more than a year to be honest and then many more hurdles…getting into some unwanted project and then the release issue and then promises which didn’t work out and then bad luck of projects getting scrapped…but at last it did work out for me…better late than never :)
Last few months have been really frustrating and depressing...the only thing on mind was when will my onsite work out…and finally when it did I am happy :)
The visa got processed from some different account and then got opportunity from some different account and travelled to Davidson, North Carolina, USA.
The things happened at the lightning speed and as usual I being a person doing things at the 11th hour, it all was such haste, I just can’t forget. Special thanks to Akshay and his car ;) that made it possible to reach the port on time and also the last minute shopping and packing, goodness it was like the 1 minute show when you do things at the fastest speed possible, hehe. Can you imagine giving 3 trousers for alteration and buying a lot of other stuff I needed to pack, at 8 pm when my check in time was supposed to be 9 pm, that’s another thing that I checked in at 10.30. I am such a careless bastard. Hehe. But at last everything went well so I don’t have any regrets.
The flight was fine. A non stop from Mumbai to NY. Then a connecting one to Charlotte and then a taxi drive of 30 minutes to Davidson.
The 1st day was a real different experience. Everywhere it was so silent, I could not sustain it for some time. Hardly anyone on the streets. All houses of the same type, cars parked everywhere, all turns look the same, it’s gonna be difficult to remember the roads. But its fine, I will get accustomed soon, it has just been a week :)
The human experience has been cool too. Americans are as courteous as I had expected them to be. Anyone you come across will wiggle their head and tell you Hi.
The changes I observed were in the desi janta, my own people. Some teetotalers who thought drinking as a real bad habit in India have now started drinking perhaps thinking that makes them hip. And then some real unexpected human courtesy changes but lets not talk about that. For a day I was bit down but then its life and it doesn’t fuckin wait for anyone so you have to move along. Came across some real cool guys and now friends and won’t forget their courtesy.
Still gotta need some time to settle down as the next house available is on 23rd Oct and that’s almost 1 month later and again you cannot be entirely self dependent here unless you own a car so that’s another thing I have to take care of and will take bit long since I don’t know how to drive a four wheeler :(
Other than this, office is cool, learning is good and I am keeping it up so looking forward to having a good time with a lot of value addition.
Rest all is fine. Things gonna get settled soon and I am gonna have the time of my life in here without any regrets. Missing my friends in India a lot ;-( hope you all missing me too :D

Invictus
What a movie!! I just loved it.A perfect weekend
It was a big get together all of my dentist friends had planned. Rahul came down to Pune after a long time and fortunately most of his batch mates could manage to be there, though most of them busy with their own clinics or post graduations studies.
For me the weekend started with an adventure of a long ride to Alibagh 150 km away from Mumbai. I was in office on Friday night till 12.30 am cuz of some issue and my roommates had planned the ride. Earlier I was not in for the plan but later mood changed and I joined in. we started at around 1.30 am on 5 bikes 9 guys. I did not ride in the entire trip which obviously sounds so dumb but then that was the way it was. FYI: I am a good rider. Anyways so we reached the beach at 5 in morning and did some time pass and sipped some beer and visited the fort and came started from there at 9. At around 10.30 the guys dropped me at a highway point from where I could get the bus for Pune.
Cuz of rush I had to stand all the way for almost 3 hours and I was dozing off badly. I just prevented not to fall.
I reached pune and then we met all these guys who were waiting for me from morning and then we all went to Lavassa city in cars and it was a nice ride too except that I slept for most of the time…hehe…we spent some nice time together around 12 friends. We came back by evening and then had the awaited grand party at Amol’s place. All were very happy to see each other and it was this big get together after a long time for my dentist friends. Me, Raghuvir and Priya were the only non-medicos in the house. The party was awesome. Antiquity Blue…I love You. Everyone enjoyed their time and it was good drinks, food, music and the company :D
Not to forget there were few additional adventures of puking and then cleaning it and puking again at various places making it difficult to clean and then passing out on commode and then jokes and arguments and lot of rubbish abusive language which no one meant though and then opening the commode door thinking the guy has fainted inside and discovering that he is just defecating and having a good time…hehehe…it was an amazing night…dialogues like “if I don’t drink, I will puke”…I will remember this forever…I am still laughing hard remembering it all.
The next day we had some gaming action, pathetic bowling alley though. The atmosphere outside was really cool and then Rahul left and then I left and then I came back…hehe…yes…cuz it rained heavily and I could not get the ticket for Mumbai so I came back…coffee…some food and good night sleep.
Next day I was supposed to leave early morning but then I never saw it, when I woke up it was broad day light. Most of us had a craving for sea food and hence we went to a nice sea food restaurant and enjoyed a superb meal along with some beer :D and then we came back to Mumbai in Rohan’s car..not to forget one more nice ride.
So as I mentioned earlier it was a tiring but joyous weekend.
Mamta Weds Pankaj
Tai’s wedding was a big tension for my family cuz Dad doesn’t have much social contacts around and since parents are from village there are not many well educated relatives and then Tai has studied a lot…she is MBBS and now doing MD Pathology. Now to find a groom for her means he has to be at least as much educated as she is. No one was in relatives. Mom and Dad were trying but then my combined effort with them yielded the fruit. I made two profiles on two leading matrimonial sites and it worked. There were quite a lot interests for her but then the filter was PG Medico.
And then the match came one day and then the formalities happened and the guy met the girl and then both liked each other and parents spoke to each other and waved the green flag and formal meet happened between the families and then everything went smooth. The dates were fixed and the day came, BIG DAY I would say.
It was a real nice experience, if it is 1st marriage in your family then there are many things to take care of. There is a lot of management and always some mismanagement to look after but then the day’s end is what it is for. The bride going along with the groom happily.
It is a beautiful mixture of all the feelings. The tiring work, frustrating small things, formalities in front of at least 50% people you never saw, answering the FAQs so many times that you would blabber the same in sleep that night, the out of the world happiness of seeing you sister smiling with her groom, getting a feeling that they are made for each other, the pleasure of sensing the happiness amongst all the beloved families and friends who have showered their blessings and wished you and teased you saying “you are the next”, the 100 new Poojas and Mantras of your religion which you heard for the 1st time (I don’t care to be honest), the final sad feeling of bride’s departure and the tears in the eyes. As I said it is a beautiful mixture of all the feelings.
Jiju (brother in law) is a nice person, Tai is happy with him and that’s what the most important thing is. This post is for you. Wish you a very happy married life. I am sure you are never going to read this blog though hehe…
** Blog dedicated to all families and friends who shared the joy with me on the day…specially the friends who sweated equally as me and the monetory help as well :)
Long time No see
Life is ok...neither happening nor depressing as we say “Bass, katt rahi hain :-) “
Hope ya all too doing good.

Something’s wrong with ME
Few hours back I just got in a situation (in fact I am not out of it yet) but then there was no need to be so tensed and nervous, as I got. My seniors talked to me when I consulted them and then my dead confidence boosted up. It’s not like I don’t have the courage or confidence or the decision making ability but somehow these days I get quite frightened of the situations even before they begin, forgetting that the situation can be dealt with and it would be all cool again.
I still can think from all aspects when some of my friend falls in any situation and I have helped and help them with the best way out. But when it comes to me somehow I get too nervous as if it’s the end and all. Perhaps sometimes my temperament makes me more nervous, like I get angry over things and obviously think of not expressing it every now and then and then just suppressing it within I get nervous what would happen. This is being so confusing, I am sure the one who will read this will be more confused but then I just had to note this down for my future reference. Hehe.
Anyways right now I am bit relieved, I aint sure if the current situation gonna get worse or better but still I am being patient. Let’s see what happens.
Don’t worry I am cool.
** this tension is about office life and I dint want to mention all details in here so hope u just get the gist of the situation. (wrote in office at 6pm 4/3/10, will publish at night)

R.I.P. Brittany

Brittany Murphy...a very young talented Hollywood actress passed away just sometime back and its a big loss for Hollywood.
Though I have seen few of her movies...but I fell in love with her when I saw "Uptown Girls" few years back...for me she was one of the cutest face ever and her smile was simply the best...
Rest In Peace dear and love you a lot forever.
You will always be there in our memories...Miss U... :-(

Saw this movie last night on 17th Dec, my 1st premier show of life.
And glad to have seen this movie’s premier show which would be one of the most unforgettable movies of my life…
Was very much excited to see this movie specially after coming to know that it has been more than 10 years now that James Cameron has been working on this project…he made technology for making the movie which is generally opposite case…like people use technology which is already there for their movies…hehe…being the director of movies like Terminator and Judgment Day and Titanic and many more…now you know this movie is not going to disappointment you…so its all excitement rushing in my head…then and even now… :-)
So it was an instantaneous plan…I just checked out the availability of the premier shows in 3D and there was one cinema near to office so we 5 guys decided to watch the late night premier….10 pm to 12.40 am :-)
The movie began and then it was all the James Cameron brilliance on the screen, the Pandora, Jake Sully / Avatar, Neytiri, Grace, the soul tree, the music, the humans good and evil and the most important thing was the 3D effects which added life to all we look at…each and every small thing has been taken care of…the new creatures, their phenomenon, small insects, animals, the forest…the floating mountains…the equilibrium of energy, the bonding between all of them and the lesson that what keeps them as ONE.
At the end of the movie all you have is the hats off feeling for the director and the entire team and the adrenaline rush of watching something SO big, if you just think you will feel that it’s really a big project…this aint no just another movie…it was completely flawless…and all fun and excitement…the technology to its best…and one thing I feel and say…
James Cameron … you are GOD \m/
Guys…just don’t miss this movie and please don’t spoil all the fun by NOT watching it in 3D.
I consider myself really lucky to have seen this movie’s premier show.

CAT Debacle…a complete WTF situation
I was amongst the few lazy asses who bought the CAT form almost on the last day and hence we were the ones who got the slot of the 1st day…maximum people would be choosing 5th and 6th Dec weekend.
So I went to my centre in Bandra and my friend Ankit was with me…we had 3.30 pm time slot. We were called 2 hours before and we did reach then…we firstly wondered that why the hell guys who appeared for the slot of 10 am are are coming out at 2 and 2.30 but then thought may be just that their exam started bit late.
And then we got our seats in respective computer labs, at first the exam application wasn’t starting. For first 15 mins we thought it is a regular trouble the people there would be of help but then the problem was there for all the students and then the situation went chaotic as almost no one was able to give the exam and then we were told that there is server crash or some overload shit that screwed the exam…
We all were like wtf man…means cant u guys even take care of one exam…and do u really have any idea how big is that??? For me and Ankit, we went just cuz we bought the forms…we didn’t study…but there are people who slog their asses studying like 20 hours a day only for this D Day of theirs’ and when they come here thinking the battle of 2 and half hours will change their life when they win it…what they see is this bullshit mismanagement…they are told the exams not today and when it is, this will be informed on mail or msgs or calls…how do u expect some one to react???
This is a big psychological defeat for people who study so seriously…
No kidding…for one girl I came across…the software hanged in the middle of the exam…after she had completed 20 questions…fuckin 20 questions…isn’t this a security breach…what if she post those 20 question online…what will be done then??
People don’t choose dates randomly…they choose dates cuz of some reason…people come from various city for this exam…I know people who even came from US just to give their CAT (the same girl mentioned above) and she is supposed to travel back to US tomorrow…how is rescheduling the exam going to help her??? Will there be US return tickets sponsored to her??
There were 2 people in our room who were giving the paper while all this chaos was going on…I really feel sorry for them as there was no room for them to concentrate but then the others too couldn’t control themselves…it was good that after sometime we all vacated the room and shifted to other classroom where we were told about rescheduling.
The prometric people have performed pathetically bad …can’t they even test one software performance and one server speed…can’t u write scripts to bring thousands of people online on one server and test its performance…I know I am getting too technical…but this is for one smart ass who was present in the argument and raised a point…dude how do u expect them to test server for 20000 people…man we IT people do it all the time…do u even fuckin know how does a sever work…fuckhead.
It was one hell of a experience, I never ever imagined that one of the biggest exam in India would get cancelled cuz of such a mismanagement…and the other surprise was today morning when the server problem was still persistent and the exam got cancelled again on the 2nd day…the feeling is funny now…I am simply laughing…I don’t have anything better to do…
Anyways I just hope that the problem gets solved very soon cuz I know this exam matters a lot for lot many people who actually wait for this one BIG DAY of CAT exam and it doesn’t fuckin matter to them to darken the circles on OMR or to click the radiobuttons on computer screen.
Best luck buddies :-)
** only good thing that happened on that evening was that I saw SRK on his terrace when he came out to greet his fans since it was bakri eid :D

Congratulations Anya :-)
I was sleeping when Rahul called me up and Anya was on conference from US and Anya told us the good news. I was about to hang up the call as I was too sleepy but after Anya shared the news there was a wave of excitement and happiness in me.
Those who don’t know Anya, please visit his blog by clicking here.
A brief introduction from me would be…I know this dude from like past 21 years now and we have been together all the time…nothing like a gap of 5 6 yrs of education in between or anything else…Anya went to US for doing Masters on 27th July 2006 (it was my birthday :D) and after he completed his Masters the recession hit the globe in late 2008 and it was a real bad time for all the students passing that year and one of them was our dude.
Honestly speaking I always felt that studying in US is a privilege and you have the best time in your life and life is all fun but it was when Anya went through his phase and I realized that its no all time fun but you have to be so self dependant and manage so many big things at a time like studies and part time jobs and cooking and relationships and what not and you can actually get screwed somewhere if you don’t be strong.
No doubt he has been a source of inspiration when I used to get frustrated due to some not very big problems here in India…better when we guys used to get frustrated :D
Anyways sad scenes apart, today I am really happy for this dude getting something he really deserves, bit late though. I am sure many better things are yet to happen.
I have been informing all my friends from morning and everyone is happy for Anya... :)
Take care mate :-)

Me and Rahul are 7th on Hall of Fame Klueless 5…
last year too we were on 7th :-)
The last blog was on Thursday morning 3 am waiting for the Klueless 5 to launch.
Its Sunday morning now almost 4.30 am and this is to declare the achievement…
It took almost 3 days to crack it and believe me each sec was consuming the grey cells…but at the end everything pays off…the feeling of getting through those 38 levels step by step solving it all and trust me…gaining that huge amount of knowledge…I just love this game…Klueless is surely the best online puzzles I have ever played.
Thanks a lot to the Klueless Team who strive so much to let others enjoy the fist…and also the people on forum to share hints and special thanks to Vishal, Mukul and Gaurav :)

Home shifting… unforgettable experience
There are reasons to call our last place as HOME and that will be forming another post on my blog :-) this post is just to tell how was the shifting experience.
Now some of you are definitely going to give that sarcastic laugh saying…as if you are the only one who has shifted his place ever…but the thing is this was the 1st time we shifted in 3 years…for first few months we were living in the same building on 8th floor and then we shifted to 1st floor where we were living till yesterday.
And believe me shifting from a place after 3 years is an entirely different experience…there was a huge amount of trash…dirt…clothes and specially paper waste…no exaggeration, there was 60 kg of paper waste from the house.
Before describing paper and clothes waste…one more story…
The bag I bought in Nagpur in May 2006 while leaving the city for joining company had not been moved over the years from the place it was placed and quite a few times there was overflow in kitchen cuz of freeze defrost and open taps (after getting drunk) so while cleaning the house when I first moved it, believe me guys, there was a centipede beneath it and I was so fucking scared of opening the bag…I wore my shoes all the time and somehow dared to open the bag after sometime after I gained enough courage and to my luck there was nothing more…but to my bad luck most of the clothes in the bag were wet and had gained moisture and were of no use and the most important loss was that the diaries I wrote in my college days also got wet but luckily they are readable and not completely wasted...
Ok so out of the 60 kg of paper waste I guess almost 40 kg was purely the MBA material we had at our room…it was like at least 20 students have given the MBA exams from our flat but no…we were just 4…leave it, that’s another story.
Anyways, I was amazed to see such a huge paper waste from the house, now many will argue why didn’t you distribute it to the needy people and stuff but you know we were two guys who are quite a lot experienced in doing stuff at the 11th hour and then you don’t have time to take care of other people at that time cuz honestly speaking you don’t have time to take care of self …hehehe…
And then the other thing that came out in excess was clothes…before that one more moral…specially when you are the last people vacating the place and that means when your earlier roommates have lived with you and then left the place before you always remember there are their memories left behind specially in the form of admit cards, prospectus, telephone bills, photo copies of all the documents they had, their traveling tickets and most importantly their studying material and their clothes… Lol…believe me there is no pun intended…
So there were like almost hundred clothes which we had and we were not wearing anymore and then half of them, we were not sure to whom did it belong so all these clothes helped us help others, we gave lotta them to the security guards of our building and then ones which were not worth wearing again formed some waste from home.
Other than this there were like 50 plastic bottles and some 10 bottles of whiskey, vodka, scotch bottles which I really liked keeping arranged in a shelf in kitchen reminding me of good time I spent with the friends :D (this doesn’t mean we have just drank this much in 3 yr, I don’t have any particular logic for just keeping 10).
It took us almost two days to clear the place leaving behind nothing but the little amount of dust and dirt behind and beneath the cot which were too tired of cleaning…in all the place was really clean :-)
So guys that’s all…just wanted to share the experience of shifting the place since it was a really thrilling one for me and I am sure for Suyog as well.
Thanks to Amit P, Amit W and Shripad for helping us on the 2nd day :-) specially by taking away few important things with them which we didn’t want to throw as trash.

12 Angry Men ... See it now if you haven't
Will make it short and sweet…
Few minutes back the movie ended “12 Angry Men”, I am speechless…I just don’t have enough words to describe how good a movie can be.
I am so pleased and glad and happy and excited that I gotta see this movie, I am a movie freak and believe me movies keep me alive and ticking and going and this one…this one was nothing but simply awesome…if you haven’t seen this you are missing something.
I just wonder it’s like 52 years old movie and the plot, the direction, the actors, the dialogues…man movies last till eternity, good movies like this one are made for everyone and must must must must watch…if I ever get a chance to open a university then movies would be in curriculum and this one would be one of the best lectures, students would get
:)
I feel like calling some of the close friends and sharing my excitement with them but its too late now…I should sleep.
Goodnight and keep rocking \m/

Metallica… GODS of Metal
A band named “blind image” from Chennai had a Metallica tribute in the Aura pub in Powai Hiranandani….and believe me it rocked like Hell there…
Interesting thing was the guitarist who played alongwith the band (not a part of band) was from my hometown Nagpur…Daniel (Danny) … I have been listening to this guy from my 1st year as he was a regular participant of the Rock Show we organized in Aarohi… :D and believe me he plays awesome guitar…
The night started with some OCs by the band and then a 13 year old gal played some songs…it was all OK…but then came the time to Rock…They started with “The four horsemen” and then “Master of Puppets” (this is the one of the best best bestest song ever) \m/ and then “Creeping Death” this too fuckin rock…
In between there were some more OCs by the band and few songs by “The Lamb of God” and “Slayer”.
All time it was Whiskey, Beer, Headbang, BodyBang and moshpit…madarchod …maja aa gaya :D
It was a fuckin beautiful night :D
Reached home sometime back and now time to sleep as last night slept at 6 am, only for 5 hours…body and neck is already aching … hehehe but its all fine for You Gods…
Metallica… you rock \m/
Please come to India once and make my life…
** A real important post is gonna be published asap...on how I screwed myself on Last Saturday night...hehe

Ganpati Bappa Moriya
There are these humongous Ganesh idols from all over the Mumbai at the beaches and then THE SEA OF PEOPLE…yeah I mean it if you are lost .. you are lost…its really difficult to find your buddies back…but then that’s what forms the entire ambience…the chanting of the mantras and the hailing of Lord Ganpati “Ganpati Bappa Moriya…Pudhchya Warshi Lavkar Ya” and the people all engrossed in the arrangement that nobody gets hurt while the Big Idols are immersed in the Sea…its all so much good to watch…
I really feel that this festival meets the purpose for which it had been started by Hon. Lokmanya Tilak way back in 1893…to make people come at a common place and celebrate and get together for a common purpose forgetting all their worries and sharing all the happiness and forming a bond :)
I still remember the days in my hometown Nagpur…the Ganpati Installation at one of my friend Ashish’s place and also in Colony, just infront of our building…the music…the games arranged…Sandal (band) on the last day…I remember how Anya and Me were curious enough in my school days and while coming back from Arpit’s place in Itwari we used to see the Ganpati Installation at the various places :D
I jus love Ganeshotsav !!
Ganpati Bappa Moriya…
** few of you may get surprised to see this post…as I am an atheist but then my feelings has to do nothing with the belief in God but the emotions of people.

Addicted to Mafia Wars :)
The game is about forming a mafia with you friends on facebook and then just playing a virtual Mafia War…doing illegal jobs…attacking other Dons...robbing them…declaring war within your own mafia…buying properties and some businesses and much much more :D also you have your mafia at two places New York and Cuba…its all very interesting at least till now and I am sure its gonna be the same atleast till you become the top mafia which is really a fars cry for me…I am on level 182 right now and top mafia people are above level 4000 … hehe…
Goodnight.
